Im Bestand des Danneil-Museums existiert ein kleiner Nachlass mit Briefen und Zeichnungen des aus Salzwedel gebürtigen Berliner Bildhauers Hans Mettel (1903-1966).
In diesem Brief aus dem Jahre 1940 an den Salzwedeler Kaufmann Friedrich Wilhelm Meyer ging es um die Gestaltung eines Grabmals für Auguste Meyer, geb. Krösch.
