Die Postkarte mit einer Ansicht von Freyburg an der Unstrut wurde bis 1900 von der Postkarten Verlagsanstalt „Kosmos“ in Halberstadt herausgegeben. Hinten links ist die Stadtkirche St. Marien zu sehen. Über Freyburg erhebt sich ein teilweise terrassierter Berg, auf dem Schloss Neuenburg mit dem Bergfried "Dicker Wilhelm" thront. Rechts im Tal ist die Burgmühle an der Unstrut zu sehen. In dieser Richtung geht es nach Naumburg an der Saale. Die Postkarte wurde beschrieben und ist gelaufen. Sie wurde mit einer grünen 5 Pfennig Briefmarke frankiert und am 30.4.1900 von Freyburg aus verschickt. Zielort war ebenfalls Freyburg.
