Nach 1945 fand August Bratfisch in Wanzleben seine neue Heimat. Stadt und Umgebung hielt er in zahlreichen Aquarellen und Zeichnungen fest. Hier ein undatiertes Aquarell eines Pferdegespanns und eines danebenstehenden Fohlens auf einem Feldweg vor einer weiten, abwechslungsreichen Feldlandschaft, im Hintergrund die Gebäude einer Fabrik.
