Der dekorative Wandteller aus Porzellan zeigt im Spiegel das Bildnis des Grafen Ferdinand Adolf Heinrich August von Zeppelin (1838-1917). Umrahmt wird das Bildnis von einem Eichenlaub- und Lorbeerkranz. Im Scheitel des Kranzes befindet sich ein Eisernes Kreuz. Zeppelin ist der Begründer der Starrluftschifffahrt. Seine Luftschiffe bestehen aus einem kompletten Skelett aus Trägern und Streben und werden im Ersten Weltkrieg in großem Stil zur Aufklärung und für Luftangriffe mit Bomben verwendet.
