Der Dolch besteht aus einer einfachen, blattförmigen geschmiedeten Eisenklinge mit Holzschafft und einer Holzscheide mit Bastfaserwicklung und Lederband zur Befestigung am Schurz. Das Objekt hat der Afrikaforscher Hans Schomburgk (1880-1967) während einer seiner Expeditionen durch Afrika mitgebracht und stammt wohl aus dem Sudan.
