Die Postkarte mit einer Ansicht des Freyburger Marktplatzes wurde in den 1920er Jahren vom Friedrich Martin's Kunstverlag in Erfurt herausgegeben. Rechts neben dem Rathausgebäude mit dem roten Dach ist die Stadtkirche St. Marien zu sehen. Auf dem Marktplatz steht umzäunt das Reiterstandbild von Herzog Christian von Sachsen-Weißenfels (1682-1736). Die Postkarte ist nicht gelaufen.
