Dieser Backstein ist eines der wenigen Beispiele für die manuelle Nachbearbeitung der gebrannten Backsteine während der frühen Zeit des Backsteinbaus im 12. Jahrhundert. Aus einem "normalen" Backstein wurden an zwei Seiten Wulst und Platte herausgearbeitet, so daß der Stein für eine Gewölbekonsole verwendet werden konnte. Er wurde in der östlichen Mauer des Obergeschosses des Südflügels entdeckt.
