Die Grafik von Rüdiger Reinel ist Teil des Mappenwerkes "Prometheus 82". Die Grafiken, Texte und Kompositionen erschienen 1982 im Auftrag des Kulturbundes der DDR mit Unterstützung des Kulturfonds der DDR. Anlass war der 150. Todestag von Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
