Text u.r.: J. A. Klein 1844 Das Bild stammt von Johann Adam Klein (* 24. November 1792 in Nürnberg; † 21. Mai 1875 in München), einem deutschen Maler und Kupferstecher des Biedermeiers. Ein Bergführer macht Rast mit seinen beiden Tieren. Die beiden Saumtiere sind schwer bepackt und weiteres Gepäck steht in der Umgebung. Der Bergführer steht auf seinen Stab gestützt zwischen seinen Maultieren, rechts von ihm liegt ein Hund und schläft. Im Hintergrund ist ein See mit einem Schiff zu erkennen. Dahinter erhebt sich ein Gebirge.
