Walter Herzog zeigt hier den Antikentempel in Potsdam-Sanssouci hinter zwei kargen Bäumen. Es handelt sich um einen geschlossenen Rundtempel mit tuskanischen Säulen nach antiken Vorbildern (Rotunde, Tholos), der 1768/69 von Carl von Gontard gebaut wurde. Friedrich der Große nutzte das Gebäude zur Aufbewahrung seiner Sammlung antiker Kunstgegenstände. Die Radierung wurde auf Hahnemühle-Bütten gedruckt. Bez. u.l.: 23/50; Mitte: Antikentempel in P.
