Auf eine Anhöhe hinauf führt der Weg von zwei Spaziergängern an einer Wiese und Bäumen links zur Burg Querfurt. Links von der romanischen Burgkapelle ragt der sogenannte Marterturm auf, rechts auf der Anhöhe angeschnitten der "Dicke Heinrich".
