Diese rechteckige Dose mit Deckel aus hellem Steinzeug gelangte 1988 aus einem Burger Haushalt ins Museum. Sie diente laut Aufschrift (seitlich an der Dose "Marinirte Heringe") zur Aufbewahrung bzw. zum Servieren von Heringen. Auf dem Deckel befindet sich die modellierte und farbig gestaltete Form eines Herings als Griffhandhabe.
