Das Bild ist das Ticket für das Abonnement von Hogarths ’A Harlots Progress’. Drei Putten und ein Satyr studieren darauf eine Personifikation der Mutter Natur. Der linke Putto malt ein Bild der Natur, während der ganz rechte einen Stich anfertigt. Ein Satyr hat den Rock der Natur angehoben und möchte einen Blick darunter werfen. Ein dritter Putto versucht ihn davon abzuhalten.
