Auf abstraktem, blauem Grund liegt mittig links ein kleiner schwarzer Hammer zwischen weißen und roten Linien sowie farbigen Formen. Seitlich des Hammers steht in weißer Kontur eine Gestalt, reduziert auf wenige Linien. Ein weiterer Hammer befindet sich in der Mitte am oberen Bildrand. Bei diesem Bild handelt es sich um die Übermalung eines früheren, verworfenen Blattes mit dem Titel "Straße der Romantik" von 1996. Weiße notiert dazu auf der Rückseite: "wurde am 18.9.98 übermalt - gefiel nicht so gut. nun ist es besser!!!" Hommage an den frühromantischen Schriftsteller Georg Philipp Friedrich von Hardenberg, bekannt als Novalis (1772-1801).
